In this colorful and expressive series, I give a face to various Nevement girlspowerful female figures who each tell their own story. Each woman bears the name of one of my friends, and each work is inspired by her personality and our shared experiences with ADHD or ADD. At the same time, they are also reflections of myself; each girl embodies a unique side of my life with ADHD. What you see are masks. Not ordinary faces, but symbolic masks of what it feels like to live with ADHD. Masking the invisible concealment of who you truly are to conform to the world around you plays a central role in this. The colorful drips symbolize that mask: bright, vibrant, but also fluid, fragile, and exhausting to wear. Behind every mask lies a story. About overstimulation, hyper focus, creativity, exhaustion  and the profound power of friendship.
